20 years ago (1984)

Tim Falls, 6'1 Pequot Lakes forward who has scored 21 points or better in his last four games, was named to WCCO-Radio's Prep Parade All State Boys Basketball Team of the week.

30 years ago (1974)

The Student Council at Brainerd High School has set up a committee to study the student body's opinion on the building of the athletic field on the hollow west of the high school.

40 years ago (1964)

David Waltz and Art Turner were named recipients of the Minnesota FFA Farmer Degree for 1963. This is the highest degree given at the state FFA level.

60 years ago (1944)

A large bald-headed eagle, one of a few seen in recent years in this locality, and with talons large enough to carry away a small sheep, has been seen frequently near the Henry White home on Gull Lake.

80 years ago (1924)

100 years ago (1904)

Si Hall has the thanks of many of the residents of the northside for his work in plowing through the snow this morning with his snow plow. It helps some.
