MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- After a week of trying, Mille Lacs County authorities have started interviewing members of the Vikings organization about two alleged sexual assaults that occurred Feb. 2 after a charity fund-raiser.
Two women reported that they were assaulted early that morning at Eddy's Resort on Lake Mille Lacs, where current and former players and organization members stayed during the Vikings' Arctic Blast.
Mille Lacs County Sheriff Brent Lindgren said Monday that investigators interviewed "a number of people" over the weekend, including several members of the Vikings organization or those affiliated with the event. He would not identify those questioned, but said investigators plan additional interviews this week.
"Every day we're interviewing people," Lindgren said.
