Pearl F. Groff, age 99, resident of Brainerd, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Edgewood Vista Senior Living. Pearl was born June 5, 1910 in Bridgewater, Iowa to Alvia and Blanche (Suddith) Starkey.
Pearl married Frank J. Groff in 1947. They purchased the Twin Pines Resort on Lake Mille Lacs in 1947, which they operated for 27 years. Frank died in 1992. Pearl was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd.
Surviving is her stepson, Ronald Groff.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010, at Edgewood Vista Chapel in Brainerd with visitation at the chapel one half-hour before services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
