Barry Aasen, 51, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Triumph Hospital in Fargo, N.D. Funeral services for Barry will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Mark Skinner officiating. Friends are welcome to visit Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment to follow services at Baxter City Cemetery.
Barry Aasen
Barry Randolph Aasen was born Aug. 9, 1956, in Bemidji, Minn., the son of Noel and Pearl (Nelson) Aasen. Barry was united in marriage to Doris Wiggins June 6, 1981. Barry was a landscaper for many years and worked for Landsburg Landscape Nursery. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish. He was a member of the NRA, USBA and Ducks Unlimited. He was also an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
Barry will be missed by his wife of 26 years, Doris; his children, Eric and Bradley Aasen; his mother, Pearl; his siblings, Nancy Toussaint, of California, Diane Steinkopf, of Brainerd, Charlene (Thomas) Irwin, of California, and Karen (Mark) Epple, of Edina; his aunt, Amy Burr; his uncle, Cliff Nelson; his dear friends, Roger Landsburg and Mike Garnhardt; 15 nieces and nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Noel; two aunts; and three uncles.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
