HOUGHTON, Mich. (AP) -- Matt Hendricks and Ryan LaMere scored third-period goals to give St. Cloud State a 4-3 win over Michigan Tech on Friday night.
Jaron Doetzel scored his second goal for Michigan Tech with 21 seconds left in the game to narrow St. Cloud State's lead to one, The Huskies (7-20-2, 3-16-2 WCHA), however, couldn't tie, despite emptying the net after Doetzel's goal.
Justin Brown scored Michigan Tech's first goal in the second minute of the game. Joe Motzko and Mark Hartigan scored in the first period for St. Cloud St. (23-5-2, 15-4-2).
Dean Weasler had 32 saves for St. Cloud State. Cam Ellsworth stopped 34 shots for the Huskies.
