BUFFALO -- The Wright County Blades defeated the Brainerd Warriors 7-0 in the quarterfinals of the Section 8, Class 2A girls' hockey tournament Friday.
Brainerd finishes the season 12-9-2.

Pro wrestling card at Wadena Feb. 16
WADENA -- R and R Wrestling will present a pro wrestling card 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16 in the Wadena Elementary School gym.
The main event will be a four-man tag-team match between Buck "Rock-N-Roll" Zumhofe, Nathen "The Patriot" Strong and Izzy and Sammy Savard.
A midget match will feature Beautiful Bobbie and Little Kato. Heather Whitefeather and Mean Nora Jean will battle in a women's match.
Baron "The Claw" Von Raschke will also be at the event.
Tickets, priced at $5 for general admission and $10 for ringside, are available at Wadena Area Chamber of Commerce, Snyder Drug, Fix's Family Foods and Super One.
Onamia Wrestling Open set March 9
ONAMIA -- The 15th annual Onamia Wrestling Open, for wrestlers in kindergarten through ninth grades, is scheduled March 9 at Onamia High School.
Registration fee is $8 per wrestler. Registration fee for teams is $10. Four-person teams will be from one of the following age groups: K-3, 4-6 and 7-9. There also will be a 6-person all-tournament team.
Registration for grades K-4 will be from 7:30-9:30 a.m. and for grades 5-9 from 7:30-10 a.m.
A danceline performs at 9 a.m. Wrestling begins at 10 a.m. The event is sponsored by the Mille Lacs Raiders Wrestling Club.
Warrior sophomore boys nip RocoriP>
The Brainerd Warriors boys' sophomore basketball team edged Rocori 54-53 Friday.
Matt Steiger passed to Justin Grunewald with two seconds left and Grunewald won the game by scoring two of his 10 points.
Blake Eller led the Warriors with 20 points. Jordan Mohs and Dave Engel were singled out by Brainerd coaches for their defense. Brainerd improved to 6-8.
