Audrey Brandenburg

Audrey Brandenburg, 79, Brainerd, formerly of Chaska, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Richfield Care Center.

She was born Sept. 16, 1922, in Cologne to Alex and Clara (Phlegar) Meuwissen. She attended Chaska High School. She married Elroy Brandenburg on April 19, 1947, in Chaska. She was employed as a clerk at the Ben Franklin Store in Chaska for a number of years. Seasonal residents since 1961, they moved to Gladstone Lake near Brainerd full time in 2000. She was a member of Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Council of Catholic Women and the Chaska American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Brandenburg, Spencer, Iowa, and Bill Brandenburg, Eagan; a daughter, Sheryl Karsko, Bloomington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska with Father Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery in Chaska.
