Area wrestlers claim three titles
PARKERS PRAIRIE - Jake Braaten and Amos Schmidt of the Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders won Park Region Conference titles as did Peter Harrison of the Pequot Lakes/Pine River-Backus Road Crew Saturday.
Harrison topped United North Central's Max Aho at 140-pounds to win his title and help the Road Crew to fourth place.
Braaten won the 152-pound weight class thanks to a 2-1 decision over Browerville's Nate Becker. Schmidt won his title with a 9-4 victory helping the Raiders to sixth.

Flyers fifth
ANOKA - Behind three pins from Dilon Kifer and two pins from Austin Scherping, the Little Falls Flyers placed fifth at the Anoka Tournament Saturday.
The Flyers lost to New London-Spicer 31-30 in the opening round, before beating St. Francis 48-23 and Anoka 41-25.
Kifer and Scherping were joined by Connor Scherping and Joe Tuholsky with 3-0 records.

Isaac Lustilia and Zach Bernu captured runner-up finishes, helping Wadena-Deer Creek to fifth place.
