LITTLE FALLS -- Maynard G. Miller, 83, Little Falls and formerly of Randall, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls.
He was born Feb. 1, 1919, in Randall to George and Minnie (Schwanke) Miller. He grew up and attended school in Randall. He married Myrtle Harrington on Nov. 14, 1942, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Randall. They lived in the Randall area most of their life. He worked in road construction, carpentry, farming and was a welder and craftsman. He was a member of the Randall Sportsman's Club, Randall Volunteer Fire Department, Randall City Council and played in an amateur baseball league.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Neil Miller, Randall; four daughters, Patricia West, Little Falls, LaVonne Sharon, Little Falls, Audrey Deering, Little Falls, and Lois Peterson, Pillager; a brother, Oren Miller, Randall; a sister, Fern Bigalke, Little Falls; 12 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
His parents and two brothers, Merle and George Miller Jr., died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Randall with the Rev. Linden Wendzel and the Rev. James Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in the Randall city cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 6 p.m., and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Randall.
Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
