Russell S. Ottoson
PINE RIVER -- Russell S. Ottoson, 64, Pine River, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at home.
He was born May 19, 1937, in Weldon Township to Sven O. and Alma E. (Kayala) Ottoson. He married Marian Meagher on Aug. 23, 1958, in Pine River. He was a Navy veteran. He owned and operated Ottoson Timber Co. in Pine River. He was a member of the American Legion and Jenkins VFW Post 3839.
Survivors include his mother, Pine River; special friend, Cheryl Israelson, Pine River; four daughters, Kelly Hulke, Donna Johnson, Eleanor Ottoson and Allison Ottoson, all of Pine River; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Gerald, Bloomington, Tom, Crosslake, Terry, Pine River, and David Bentley, Arizona; and a sister, Eleanor Fuller, Virginia.
His wife and father died earlier.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church in Pine River with the Rev. John Twiton officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in Pine River.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church in Pine River and an hour before services Monday at the church.
