CROSBY -- Raymond Carl Brooks, 85, Crosby, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at home.
He was born May 3, 1914, in Minneapolis to Howard and Elvira (Johnson) Brooks. He married Olga M. Ukura on Jan. 1, 1937, in Pontiac, Mich. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church of Crosby and was a retired M.A. Hanna Mining employee with 23 years of service.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Helen Brodwell, Hancock, Mich., Bonnie Fearing, Hibbing, and Sandra Sergott, Riverton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd Brooks, Pontiac, Mich.; and two sisters, Ella Swanson, Pontiac, Mich., and Charlotte DuVal, Brainerd.
A daughter, Jeanette Nord, and a brother, William Brooks, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bible Baptist Church of Crosby with the Rev. Gerald Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery of Crosby.
Friends may call at the church an hour before services Wednesday.
