Raymond E. Wiltz, 83, of Brainerd, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Seamus Walsh officiating. Friends may visit at the church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
Raymond Eugene Wiltz was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Bancroft, Kan., to George and Clara (Baker) Wiltz. He was united in marriage to Jeanette Burgeson April 13, 1946, in Duluth. They lived in Barnesville, Minn., and in Kansas before moving to Brainerd in 1966. Ray worked as an auto parts technician and later as a supervisor at the Minnesota Department of Transportation for 22 years.
Raymond will be deeply missed by Jeanette, his wife of 60 years; his children, Curtis (Cindy) Wiltz, White Bear Lake, Steven Wiltz, Minneapolis, and Rhonda Jean (Dennis) Bock, Brainerd; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Miller, Barron, Wis., Elenora Blocker, Wetmore, Kan., Therese Robinson, Topeka, Kan., Gertrude Bolgrean, Fargo, N.D., Virgil Wiltz, Hiawatha, Kan., and Melvin Wiltz, Virginia Beach, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mildred Haverkamp; and a brother, Gerald Wiltz.
