Three members of the Brainerd Warrior cross country ski team qualified for the state meet at Grand Rapids: Brad Nelson, Scot Pederson and Amy Schmitz.

30 years ago (1977)

La Guyal Lanes is a repeat champion in a Brainerd Women's Bowling Association Tournament action run off at La Guyal Lanes last weekend.

40 years ago (1967)

Karen Milberry, a freshman from Crosby, was crowned Sno Daze Queen at the Brainerd Junior College today.

60 years ago (1947)

During the year 1926 there were 197 marriage licenses issued at the office of the city clerk of the district court for the county of Crow Wing. Nineteen divorces were granted.

100 years ago (1907)

The extra gang, with the assistance of the clerk of the weather, has succeeded in disproving of a good part of the snow in the railroad yards here. Several train loads of snow per day are being hauled out onto the bridge and dumped into the Mississippi.
