Hello, my name is Babycat. I know that isn't very original, but I refuse to come to my humans when called by any other name.
My humans got me at Heartland Animal Rescue Team, and I was scared of everything. They brought me home and I found a hole in their pantry wall, crawled in it and fell asleep. I think I am the only HART adoptee to make their humans tear out a kitchen wall just to find me.
My favorite thing in the world is to ride on my Mommy's right shoulder. If anyone wonders why Mommy walks crooked, it is because of me. I weigh 15 pounds and spend at least four hours a day up there. I don't even have to hang on; I just balance. She told me the day I get smarter than her will be the last day on her shoulder. Silly Mommy. I have been playing her like a fiddle since the day she got me.
I love shrimp, fresh air and playing with the man human. I hate thunderstorms and tin foil. That tin foil is very scary! I also do a very good blue jay impression. I am awesome and happy HART gave me the chance to prove it.
We'd love to hear your former HART pet's success story. E-mail it, along with a photo, to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at the Dispatch.
