BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Lumberjacks dealt the Brainerd Warriors their first loss in their last seven games with a 7-3 victory in non-conference boys' hockey Friday.
Mike Solinger scored an unassisted goal in the first period for the Warriors. Zach Lundbohm tallied with an assist from Carl Sneep in the second. Chris Peluso notched a goal in the third, with assists from Sneep and Morgan Shepherd, as Brainerd slipped to 13-6-2 overall.
"We came out and played pretty well at the start," Warriors coach Ty Eigner said, "but we could not sustain that effort throughout the course of the game. Bemidji played very hard in the game and we took too many penalties."
Brainerd is at Alexandria 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with first place in the Central Lakes Conference hanging in the balance.
