One out of eight prospective jurors questioned was selected Thursday to sit for the Joshua DeRosier murder trial, bringing the total number of jurors now selected to six.
A total of 15 people -- 12 jurors and three alternates -- will be chosen out of 59 prospective jurors for the trial.
Jury selection continued today. Opening arguments in the trial are expected to begin later next week.
DeRosier, 20, faces two counts of first-degree murder. He is accused in the Dec. 24, 2001, murders of his grandparents, Theodore Bieganek, 68, and Angeline Bieganek, 64. The Bieganeks were shot to death while in their bed in their rural Brainerd home.
