Violet B. Huro, 65, Annandale, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1934, in Ludden, N.D., to Erik and Marie (Havisto) Starkka. She married Russell G. Huro in 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived in Minneapolis before moving to Annandale in 1965. She was a homemaker and also worked at various restaurants in Annandale. She was a member of the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church, Kingston.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bud Garthe and Dale of Annandale; sisters Gloria Fitch, Brainerd, Lorraine Dunlop and Helen Koski, Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and five brothers, Raymen, Phoenix, and Carl and Roy, Brainerd, Ernie, Crosslake, and Ralph, Garrison.
Her parents and a sister, Mildred Zupon, died earlier.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel of Annandale from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and at the church an hour before services Tuesday.
