LITTLE FALLS --Margaret J. Crofts, 97, Little Falls, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at St. Otto's Care Center of Little Falls.
She was born Aug. 19, 1902, in Swan River Township, to Mathias and Rosalia (Kubiak) Jelinski. They moved to Flensburg where she attended school. She worked in Rochester, Minneapolis, Omaha, Neb., and then California. During World War II, she worked at an airplane factory. After retiring from work, she volunteered at a hospital from 1977-1994 in Lawnsdale, Calif. She was honored at a special Margaret Crofts' Day. She married Albert (Bert) Crofts on June 21, 1943, in Las Vegas. They lived in Utah, Minnesota and California. Her husband died April 21, 1962.
Her husband, six brothers, John, Joseph, Charles, Richard and infant twin brothers, and five sisters, Mary Mills, Katherine Tomaczewski, Victoria Ewert, Hattie Stockdale and Celia Cichon, died earlier.
Services were today at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Little Falls with Father Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery. Arrangements were with Brenny Funeral Home-West Chapel of Little Falls.
