LITTLE FALLS -- Albina Deering, 85, Little Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
She was born Dec. 14, 1914, to Phillip and Mary (Trafas) Maciej. She grew up and attended school in Little Falls. She moved to San Francisco where she lived for several years before moving back to Little Falls in the 1950s. She married Henry Deering on Sept. 12, 1981, in Little Falls. She moved into the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls in 1986. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was a past member of the VFW Auxiliary in Little Falls. She was president of the residents council at the Lutheran Home.
Survivors include a son, Stephen Schmidt, North Branch; a daughter, Patricia Johnson, Randall, a sister, Mary Rose Florian, St. Paul; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Her husband, sisters, Cecilia Scepaniak, Little Falls, Catherine Getchell, Anoka, and former husband Stephen Schmidt died earlier.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Leroy Kremer officiating.
Burial will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in the spring. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are with Brenny-Simonet Funeral Home West Chapel in Little Falls. Memorials are preferred.
