STAPLES -- Paul A. Kruger, 37, Staples and formerly of Moorhead, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, as a result of an auto accident near Baxter.
He was born Dec. 8, 1962, in Detroit Lakes to Sharon and Kenneth Kruger. The family moved to Moorhead when he was a young boy, which was where he grew up and attended school. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army from 1982-1985. He served overseas in Europe. After his discharge, he lived in Georgia and in Germany before returning to Moorhead in 1987. He later lived in Dilworth, Hawley and Detroit Lakes, where he worked at the Swift Company turkey processing plant until its closing. He moved to Wadena where he attended technical college and later moved to Staples where he had lived since.
Survivors include his parents, Sharon and Kenneth Kruger, Moorhead; three brothers, Philip and Brian Kruger, both of Minneapolis, and Daniel Kruger, St. Paul; and his grandparents, Harry and Mavadel Kruger, Detroit Lakes, and Alice and Melvin Harms, Alexandria.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Moorhead.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Korsmo Funeral Chapel in Moorhead.
