Barnaby signs with Concordia

Brainerd High School senior Kellie Barnaby has signed an NCAA National Letter of Intent to play women's soccer at Concordia University in St. Paul next season.

Barnaby, a 5-foot-3 midfielder, is a four-year soccer letterwinner. She and the Warriors made state tournament appearances in 2006 and 2007.

She was named All-Central Lakes Conference in 2008 and 2009 and served as team captain her senior season. She was a conference player of the week last fall.

Brainerd won the conference championship every year of her career, won section championships in 2006 and 2007 and was section runner-up in 2008 and 2009. Barnaby was also an academic all-conference athlete.
