Crow Wing Food Co-op

I want to thank Melissa, Jessy and those who worked on the Crow Wing Food Co-Op showing of the film "Food Fight." Over 125 community members attended the event, and it was a great way to emphasize the health and economic benefits of eating organically and locally grown foods. Thank you, also, to the many local farmers who sat on a panel to answer questions attendees had. We are fortunate to have such an abundance of opportunity in this area when it comes to locally grown food. With the huge increase in the purchase and consumption of organically grown foods in recent years, it is important to know there are organizations like the Co-Op who are supporting our local agriculture and economy.

Thanks also need to go to Matt Annand and Prairie Bay restaurant for the fantastic catering of the event and for their commitment to local agriculture. They are showing that small changes can make a huge difference and have become such a positive force in the community.
