Katherine Harms, a sophomore at Little Falls, has made a verbal commitment to play volleyball for the University of Minnesota.
Harms will sign her national letter of intent in November of her senior year.
She led the Flyers in kills and blocks, was named the team's most valuable offensive player and was a member of the All-Central Lakes Conference team.
Harms is a member of the Minnesota Select Junior Olympic volleyball team and is involved in basketball and track and field.
Muskies Inc. banquet Saturday
The Brainerd Lakes chapter of Muskies Inc. will host its fourth annual banquet beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday at Cragun's Resort Sports Center.

Golden Gloves boxing Saturday at Wadena
Twelve Golden Gloves boxing bouts are scheduled at the Wadena National Guard Armory at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Boxers will compete from Wadena, St. Paul, Climax, Fergus Falls, White Bear Lake, Brainerd and Lower Sioux, Morton.
Wadena boxers will include DeWayne Steward (165 pounds), Trent Petro (165), Travis Petro (152), Billy Richards (167), Chandler Green (132), Brent Steward (120), Elliot Sandberg (198), Chris Steward (70), Kody Thompson (135) and Joe Collom (155). Another possible bout will be scheduled for Stephanie Koljonen (135).
Sophomores beat Sartell
Ben Gervais had 19 points as the Brainerd Warriors defeated Sartell 55-36 in sophomore boys' basketball Friday.
Other leading scorers for Brainerd were Jon Wiese with 12 points and Sam Feyder with six for Brainerd (16-2).
Wadena's Petro competes in Silver Gloves boxing
Travis Petron, a 15 year old from Wadena, competed in the 152-pound weight class of the 2007 National Silver Gloves boxing tournament Feb. 1-3 at Independence, Md.
Petro defeated Henry Abell of Region VI in the quarterfinals before losing to Kenny Thomas of Region II in the semifinals.
