A parked Morrison County sheriff's squad car was rear-ended early Friday by another vehicle on Highway 10 near Morrison County Road 35, south of Little Falls, said Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel.
Wetzel said the deputy was writing an accident report in the squad car, which was parked on the side of the highway with its lights on, when it was rear-ended. He said the deputy was transported in another squad car to St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls to be checked for any injuries.
Additional information was not yet available from the State Patrol.
Area law enforcement agencies responded to numerous accidents Friday morning because of icy road conditions.
One accident involved a school bus and vehicle at Highway 371 and Highway 210 in Baxter early Friday. The Baxter Police Department said no children were on the bus at the time of the accident and no one was injured.
