LITTLE FALLS -- The Great River Arts Association will offer an adult ceramics class in March.
Instructors Bill Adkins and Lynda Tarbuck will teach the basics of potter's wheel and hand-building techniques. Participants will make a vase or a mug, as well as learn to tap the imagination as they sculpt objects from the moist clay.
Adkins and Tarbuck have experience teaching students of all ages and levels. Adkins has a master's degree, as well as a bachelor's degree from the Herron School of Arts.
Tarbuck has a bachelor's degree in art education from Bemidji State University and teaches art in Upsala.
Students of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. Classes will run 6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Session I runs March 3-26 and Session II runs March 31-April 23.
The fee for an individual session is $80 for GRAA members and $90 for non-members. The fee for both sessions is $150 for members and $170 for non-members. Class size is limited to 12 participants.
