A total of 502 students completed programs at Brainerd Area Vocational-Technical Institute last year with 89.7 percent of them employed.

Dean Trzpuc, head of the Brainerd Music Department met with school board members to outline recommendations for improvement of the program. Trzpuc recommended that all the instructors become full time and that eventually, a full-time elementary band director be hired.
