Art focus: Fifth Street Journal.

Adviser nomination: Katie has the full potential to have a successful career in journalism. As co-editor-in-chief of the Fifth Street Journal, she has consistently produced top-notch stories and page designs. She is a kind, patient leader who is always willing to help out.

Art activities: A Cappella Choir and concert chorale.

Do you plan to make a career out of journalism: I'm thinking about it strongly. I want to do something in writing. I'm still experimenting with them (the different forms of writing.)

Your best story: I did an opinion piece on board games versus video games and I was on the board game side.

Do your classmates respect your leadership: Yes, they ask me questions when they need help and I haven't heard them talking down to me so I'd say they respect me.

Most memorable fine arts achievement: Having my article on youth voting published in the Brainerd Dispatch.

Worst movie ever: The Incredible Hulk.

Favorite movie: Les Miserables.

Favorite TV programs: Scrubs and Prison Break.

Favorite book: Airborn by Kenneth Oppel.

Favorite song: Shut Me Up.

Favorite band: Mindless Self Indulgence.

Favorite food: Martian Munchies at Space Aliens.

Trait you despise in others: Arrogance.

Elijah Johnson, senior, orchestra: Elijah has performed in Chamber Orchestra for the past two years where he exceeds in leadership and musicianship, the orchestra director said.

Brittany Kohlmeier, mock trial, senior: Brittany is a lawyer for mock trial. We've had two competitions and the judges scored Brittany very high on her skill at questioning witnesses in both direct and cross examination, the mock trial adviser said.
