PEQUOT LAKES - Pequot Lakes junior Mindy Howard reached 1,000 career points as she drained a 3-pointer off an inbound play to start the second half in a 68-44 Mid-State Conference victory over the Park Rapids Panthers Monday.
Howard finished with 26 points for 1,009 total career points. She becomes the 11th Patriot girl to reach the scoring milestone. She becomes the first since the threesome of Flecia Foster, Teresa Parker and Chelsea Schwegel in 2004-05 to reach the mark
Emily Lueck added 10 points and Katie Finn scored eight as Pequot improved to 5-3 in the conference and 15-6 overall.

Megan Zillmer scored 12 points and Kassie Duffney added five points and 11 rebounds in the Rangers (17-3) 10th straight victory.
Nikki Pearson led the Cardinals with nine points. S-M hit 16 percent from the field and fall to 6-12 overall.

PINE RIVER - Taylor Sheley tied a season-high with 32 points, but the Sebeka Trojans came back from a six-point halftime deficit to defeat the Pine River-Backus Tigers 74-65 Monday in non-conference action.
Sheley added six steals and Naomi Anderson recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Both teams collected 33 rebounds, but Sebeka shot 57 percent to the Tigers 39 percent.
