The Brainerd Family YMCA is accepting registration for a motivational fitness challenge called Fitness Team 2004.
The fitness challenge will start Feb. 9 and run for eight weeks. Fitness Team 2004 will motivate YMCA members to be healthier and more active.
The YMCA will offer free body fat composition testing the first week of the challenge. Participants may hear speakers on fitness, nutrition, diet and older adult exercise as well as introduction to group exercise classes in the aerobic studio. Participants may sign up individually or as a team.
There will be weekly drawings for prizes for all who completed their goal. The program fee is $10 which includes a YMCA Fitness Team 2004 T-shirt.

Sophomore boys defeat Willmar
The Brainerd Warriors sophomore boys' basketball team beat Willmar 48-36 on Tuesday.
Leading the Warriors in scoring was Landon Stanfield with 19 points. Chris Comstock and Danny Markow added 10 each.
Muskies Inc. banquet Saturday
The first Muskies Inc. banquet is scheduled 5 p.m. Saturday at Cragun's Resort.
Tickets are $40 apiece. Speakers will be Jim Lindner and Dan Sura. More than $15,000 in prizes will be given away.

Conference honors Flyers goalie
Little Falls goalie Aaron Jorgensen has been honored as the Central Lakes Conference boys' hockey player of the week ending Jan. 31.
Jorgensen stopped 67 of 70 shots in wins over Fergus Falls and Sauk Rapids.
