REMER -- Henry "Hank" Goble, age 89 of Remer, Minn., died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at the Homestead Nursing Home in Deer River, Minn. Henry was born Sept. 8, 1914, in Pequot Lakes, Minn., to Drew and Lorraine Goble where he grew up and farmed for many years. He later worked for Northwest Concrete in St. Cloud and Doring Engine Rebuilders in Clear Lake, Minn. After retirement, he moved to Remer, Minn., to fish and hunt. Henry was a member of the Deer Hunters Association of Minnesota. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mable, three brothers, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandchild and his special friend, Alice Lentz.
Survived by four daughters, Frances (Bill) Wynn of Backus, Minn., Emma Lehnen of Remer, Minn., Marion (Richard) Bahner of St. Cloud, Minn., and Carol (Roger) Barton of Remer, Minn.; two sons, Earl (Anita) Goble of Marcell, Minn., and Bob (Gayle) Goble of Nisswa, Minn.; 36 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and his special friend, Pastor Gary of Deer River, Minn.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Northland Alliance Church in Remer, Minn., where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004. The Rev. Richard Dugan will officiate.
