Two sophomore girls accused of making a bomb threat Jan. 12 at Brainerd High School waived their rights to a hearing, it was learned Wednesday.

Brainerd Superintendent Jerry Walseth said the closed Brainerd School Board meeting Wednesday was canceled after learning the girls waived their rights to a hearing.

Walseth said the school board will make a decision Monday about the possibility of expelling the students from the school district.

The two girls admitted in court to making terroristic threats. They admitted to combining their change and making the bomb threat call about 8 a.m. The call did not indicate a specific place for the bomb, but did say the school would be bombed three hours after the call was placed.
