Each month there are so many people to thank. Your efforts here are appreciated. Please forgive me if your contribution is overlooked in this space. So many of the things you do are seen only by the Lord.
In December we served 882 meals. We were open 25 days (including Christmas and New Year's eves). This comes out to an average during the month of 36 meals served daily. Many of our service groups made special meals in order to celebrate Christmas and New Year's with our guests. The hall was decorated nicely for the season which helped make the month special.
Light of the Lakes UMC decorated the hall for Christmas, and that's not all! They undecorated it also! Joan Prefontaine and friends from Cascade UMC have helped with the preparation of the newsletter for mailing (folding, stapling, labeling and stamping) for the past two months! I haven't even met her personally yet. She just comes in and quietly gets the job done. Thanks!
Food donations were received from Zion Lutheran, First Lutheran, St. Joseph's Medical Center, St. Francis Church, Rohlfing's, Hardee's, Brainerd Medical Center, Irene Jenson and Michael Franzen, Habitat for Humanity, Kathy Hegstrom's World Issue Class at BHS and the Nisswa Jaycees and Prince of Peace Lutheran.
Thanks to everyone involved for another great month!

It was a pleasure to read about the 15th B.A.Y. Rally in last Friday's paper. Such publicity on this event is long over due but very muchappreciated. I have been at many rallies in the past and have seen the numbers grow from filling the auditorium at Franklin Jr. High to now "standing room only" at Tornstrum Auditorium at Washington Middle School.
This is such a wonderful ministry and outreach bringing youth together from many churches and surrounding communitites. Thanks to Dale Kuglin and area youth pastors for your involvement and pursuing a vision that unites youth in such a positive way! Thanks also to Brian and Becky Tollerud for excellent pictures and article covering this event. We hope to see more in the future!
