ANNANDALE -- Violet B. Huro, 65, Annandale, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2000, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 15, 1934, in Ludden, N.D., to Erik and Marie (Havisto) Starkka. She married Russell G. Huro in 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived in Minneapolis before moving to Annandale in 1965. She was a homemaker and also worked at various restaurants in Annandale. She was a member of the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church, Kingston.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Bud Garthe and Dale of Annandale; sisters Gloria Fitch, Brainerd, Lorraine Dunlop and Helen Koski, Minneapolis; brothers Raymen, Carl, and Roy, Brainerd, Ernie, Crosslake, Ralph, Garrison; and three grandchildren.
Her parents and a sister, Mildred Zupon, died earlier.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000, at the Kingston Apostolic Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel, Annandale. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel in Annandale. Friends may also call one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday at the church.
