When did you join Knowledge Bowl: "This is my second year. My brother was in it and he told me to join because I was smart."
Interest in math and science: "They're not very hard for me. I like math and science. I'm in all the advanced classes."
Plans after high school: "To attend the University of Minnesota to study computer engineering. I'd like to have a job in computer programming."
You help build robots: "I've been on the robotics team at the high school for three years. I enjoy getting the skills with the hardware we have to design and build. We have a giant manual of rules we have to follow, but otherwise it's free game."
Memorable fine arts achievement: Going to the regional competition in Knowledge Bowl last year.
Worst subject: Advanced Placement literature.
Funniest movie of all time: "The Hangover."
Favorite TV series: "The Big Bang Theory."
Favorite song: "Code Monkey" by Jonathan Coulton.
How do you relax: "I don't. I don't have time to relax."
Favorite restaurant: Applebee's.
Hobbies: "I do web designs. I've done some for fun and some for others. I'm doing one for the robotics team and doing a Web site for the chemistry teachers here."

Honorable mention: Amu Wu, junior, mock trial: Wu's mock trial adviser said, "Amy plays a witness on the mock trial team. Her portrayal of an expert was extremely realistic. It is a difficult fact-filled part and Amy handles it with finesse."
