The Brainerd High School Orchestra Program will present a Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd.
The concert is open to the public and is a free-will donation with proceeds going to the Brainerd Kinship Partners Program.

Two Brainerd orchestras will perform orchestral masterpieces from, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, England, Russia and America representing Baroque, classical, romantic, contemporary and neo romantic styles of music from well over 300 years of composition.
The Sinfonia Orchestra's performance will include "The Bringer of Joy" by Gustav Holst and "Shepherd's Hey" by Percy Grainger.

The Chamber Orchestra's performance will include the first movement of the Sinfonia in F by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach followed by Danish composer Carl Neilsen's "Little Suite for Strings." BHS student Rebecca Yeh will take center stage to perform the final movement of the Violin Concerto by Felix Mendelssohn.
Pierz elementary musical
PIERZ - Pioneer Elementary School's fourth- through sixth-graders will perform the musical "Let Your Hair Down Rapunzel!" at 9:45 a.m. Thursday and at 7 p.m. Friday in the school gym in Pierz.
Admission is free. All are welcome.
Fur trader event scheduled
Come learn about fur trader George Nelson at an event that will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Brainerd Public Library.
Using props, artifacts and costumes, one of the Minnesota History Players will engage you in the interesting life story in Minnesota history of George Nelson.
Imagining ourselves back in the 1800s, George Nelson fur trader comes to be with you. He made his living in the fur trade business working as a clerk for the XY, Hudson's Bay and the North West companies from 1802 to 1823. Nelson signed a five-year contract with the XY Company when he was 16 as an apprentice clerk and he was right away put in charge of a small fur trade outpost.
This Minnesota History Player program is brought to Kitchigami Regional Library residents through the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Grant funds.
Greg Klyma to perform in New York Mills
NEW YORK MILLS - Greg Klyma will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.
Admission is $12 advance sale and $15 the night of the concert.
