Two Warriors to sign Division I letters

Brainerd Warrior athletes Kelly Rosenthal and Jared Anderson will sign NCAA National Letters of Intent at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

Rosenthal will play women's soccer at Illinois State University. Anderson will swim for the University of Minnesota men's team.

The public is invited.

Boys' hockey game time changed Thursday

The Brainerd Warriors boys' hockey team will play Lakeville South at 6 p.m. Thursday at Brainerd Area Civic Center.

The game was originally scheduled Dec. 20 but was postponed by cold weather.

Pequot Lakes Hall of Fame seeking nominations

Pequot Lakes High School is seeking nominations for its high school hall of fame.

Deadline for nominations is April 15. Nomination forms are available in the high school principal's office or go to (www.pequotlakes.k12.mn.us).

Nominations may be mailed to: Athletic Hall of Fame, c/o Marc Helmrichs, Pequot Lakes High School, 30805 Olson Street, Pequot Lakes, MN 56472.

Thesing, LeBlanc honored

Brainerd's Emily Thesing and Luke LeBlanc of Little Falls have been named Central Lakes Conference performers of the week ending Jan. 31.

In three girls' basketball games last week, Thesing had 47 points, 15 assists and eight steals.

In boys' Nordic skiing, LeBlanc placed second in the conference meet.

Brainerd JV swimming, diving team wins

The Brainerd Warriors boys' swimming and diving team defeated Fergus Falls Tuesday 144-17.

Winning for Brainerd were Sam Dellacecca (200 free), Brian Kolbeck (200 IM), Peter Jacobsen (50 free, 100 breaststroke), Jake Eggen (diving), Jonathan Warling (100 fly), Clark Eggen (100 free), Andrew Solseth (500 free), Josh McKeag (100 backstroke) and all three relays.

JV gymnasts lose

St. Cloud Tech defeated the Brainerd Warriors 139.9-125.8 in junior varsity gymnastics Tuesday.

Brainerd's Sydney Wold was sixth on vault, Mikayla Cerney was third on beam, fifth in all-around and ninth on bars and Jackie Caughey was fourth on floor.
