Helen K. Lindberg, age 84, of Brainerd, Minn., passed away Jan. 31, 2009. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Hulda Tjernberg; and two brothers, Walter C. and Ernest B. Terry. Survived by husband of 62 years, Dale W.; two sons, James W. (Kathy), Curtis A. (Susan); one daughter, Carla J. (Ken) LaPorte; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Helen graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis. She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She was dedicated to her Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, choir member and was active in women's ministries and community Bible studies. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at Grace Point (Salem Baptist) Church, at Rice Creek Road and Silver Lake Road, New Brighton. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Miller Funeral Home, 6210 Hwy. 65 N.E., Fridley, MN 55432, and one hour prior to service in church. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery, St. Anthony, with committal service at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Memorials preferred to Alzheimer's Disease Research or donor's preference. Arrangements with Miller Funeral Home, Fridley Chapel.
