A Northern Pacific railway brakeman suffered a fractured leg when a drunken driver struck him as he was riding on the steps of an N.P. mail car, throwing him to the ground. The train was passing over the Sixth Street crossing at 5:45 a.m. when it occurred.

Cladius Tucker, son of the Northern Pacific agent at Fort Ripley, who was taken sick with typhoid fever four weeks ago while attending Brainerd High School, has recovered sufficiently at St. Joseph's Hospital so as to be able to go home.
