SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -- Minnesota Wild right wing Marian Gaborik scored a goal and had two assists in his first NHL All-Star game in the West's 6-5 win on Sunday.
Gaborik, who turns 21 on Feb. 14, put the West up 3-2 in the first period by beating Tampa Bay goalie Nikolai Khabibulin on a rebound. The Wild's leading scorer also assisted on Ed Jovanovski's goal in the second period and Al MacInnis' tally in the third.
Gaborik had a chance to win the game in overtime, but his last-second slapshot just missed the net.
"This kind of thing doesn't happen every day," Gaborik said. "To be here playing with the best players in the world and scoring a goal ... this is a big deal for me."
Gaborik, who also won the fastest skater title at Saturday's skills competition, leads the Wild with 26 goals and 23 assists in 51 games this season.
