Pearl V. Doty

AITKIN -- Pearl V. Doty, 66, Aitkin, Fleming Lake, formerly of Minneapolis, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin.

She was born Oct. 17, 1936, in Buffalo to Clinton and Sarah (Conklin) Batdorf. She graduated from Minneapolis Vocational High School. She married Richard Allen Dorsher on April 25, 1958. He died in 1962. She worked for the YMCA in south Minneapolis, Coast to Coast Store in Hopkins, Tonka Toys Co., and United Mailing Co. She married Glen R. Doty on June 14, 1975, in Excelsior. They moved near Aitkin in 1991. She was a member of the McGregor Chapter of AARP.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Allen Dorsher, Hopkins, Robert Doty, Crystal, and Don Doty, Mora; four daughters, Sue Pfremmer, Crystal, Sherry Tuomi, Proctor, Teresa Colegrove, Waconia, and Donna Myers, Waconia; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Charlotte Stevens, Golden Valley, and Eleanor Mross, Spring Park.

Her parents, her first husband, and a sister, died earlier.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fleming United Methodist Church in with the Roy Vanderwerf officiating. Burial will be in the spring in Fleming Cemetery.

Friends may call an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.
