Raider women rally for win at Hibbing

HIBBING -- The Central Lakes College Raiders women's basketball team rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to claim a 70-60 North Division victory over the Hibbing Cardinals Wednesday.

Hibbing led 42-36 at halftime but was outscored 34-18 in the second half.

"We didn't take the lead until two minutes left in the game," Raiders coach Dennis Eastman said. "We got a steal from Amy Solorz, with an assist to Heather Olson, to get the lead. Heather got another steal to put us up by four."

Olson finished with 19 points and Jeanna Baratto added 11 as the Raiders raised their conference record to 8-1 and their overall mark to 13-5. Anna Struss led CLC with seven rebounds and Solorz had five assists.

Only four players scored for Hibbing, which shot just 39 percent from the field.
