Warrior Nordic JV team races

Jimmy Dean's fifth-place time of 24:22 led the Brainerd Warrior boys' junior varsity Nordic skiing team Tuesday at the North Star Conference meet in Waubun.
James McLean was 12th in 27:03 followed by Logan Hopp (12th at 27:17), Michael Montgomery (17th at 29:48), Ross Duval (18th at 30:50) and Peter Qualey (19th at 31:57).
Freshmen girls lose
The Brainerd ninth grade girls' basketball team lost to Grand Rapids 41-40 on Monday to bring its record to 11-2.
Leading scorers were Tess Rahto with 20 points and Mikinzie Hradsky with seven.
