Bemidji shuts out Findlay

BEMIDJI (AP) -- Brendan Cook notched a hat trick for Bemidji State as the Beavers skated past Findlay 4-0 Friday.

Riley Riddell added a goal for Bemidji (14-7-2, 11-2-0 CHA), extending his goal-scoring streak to five games. The Beavers outshot Findlay 47-16 and fired 19 shots in the third period alone.

Jon Horrell had 43 saves for Findlay (5-18-4, 2-8-1).

After a scoreless first period, Cook scored twice in less than two minutes to give Bemidji a quick 2-0 lead. The Beavers wouldn't score again until the third when Riddell found the back of the net at 4:33. Cook scored the final goal of the game at 6:40.

Anders Olsson finished with two assists for Bemidji.
