AITKIN -- Christopher Jacob Peterson, 19, Aitkin, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, as the result of an automobile accident in Brooklyn Center.
He was born April 20, 1980, in Portland, Ore. He moved from Oregon to Plymouth in 1986 and attended schools in Wayzata. When he moved to Aitkin, he finished his education with home schooling. He had lived in the Elk River area the past six months and had been working as a carpenter in the Twin Cities. He was involved with the Boy Scouts of America and had volunteered with the Red Cross.
Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Tami Peterson, Aitkin; three sisters, Amanda Peterson, Aitkin, Nicole Peterson, Aitkin, and Amber Peterson, Belvue, Ore.; and grandparents, Norman and Eunice Kemp, Eugene, Ore.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home of Aitkin with the Rev. Rick Perry officiating.
Friends may call at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home for an hour before services Wednesday.
