The tradition begins. And continues.
Starting with this issue of the Dispatch, the outdoors page will be renamed Outdoor Traditions in an attempt to offer better consistency and cross-branding with the Dispatch's other outdoors products - Outdoor Traditions the quarterly magazine and Outdoor Traditions the Web site, the latter of which debuted at www.brainerdoutdoors.com on Friday.
The change is being made in an attempt to allow our readers to more easily access - and navigate - the great outdoors in the Brainerd lakes area, whether via the magazine, Internet or the Dispatch's paper product.
About the only initial visual difference between Outdoor Traditions and the page formerly known as North Country is the change you see at the top of this page. You will continue to get your weekly dose of outdoors with the Outdoor Traditions page, and quick access to the page's sister - or brother - products. If it says Outdoor Traditions, it's a part of the Dispatch family.
The hope is that the page continues to grow with the burgeoning outdoor scene in the greater Brainerd lakes area. If it's happening outdoors, chances are, you'll read about it in Outdoor Traditions.
