CROSBY - Warren E. "Bud" Fuller, age 85, of Crosby, died on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born on March 3, 1921, in Bay Lake Township to Ernest and Nellie (Nelson) Fuller. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-1946 in both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII.
Bud worked in the iron ore mines in Crosby and also owned a small motor repair shop in Aitkin for several years. Later he worked as an electrician in different areas of Minnesota. He was a member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post 443 of Ironton. Bud enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. His favorite fishing lake was Bay Lake where he grew up and also lived part of his adult life. He married Jeannette Weaver in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannette; a daughter, Darlene (Richard) Gunderson, of Sartell, and a son, John (Shelly), of Crosby; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Betty Skillings, of Garrison and Mission, Texas, Harriet Lundgren, of Spring Lake Park, and Donna Garland, of St. Cloud. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Avis Johnson; second wife, Marlys Lane; and one brother, Donald.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Crosby-Ironton Presbyterian Church in Crosby. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
