Sertoma Club recognizes Sertoma Works recipients

Sertoma recently recognized its five new inductees into the Sertoma Works honors group.

This award came about because only one person can be named Sertoman of the Year, but many people are deserving of recognition for their behind-the-scenes hard work.

This year Sertoma honored five people: Mark Korte, Bill Goers, Paul Gropper, Jim Mayne and Tad Hoskins.

These five men devoted many hours of service to major projects, such as Winter Wonderland.

The award is named for the late Jon Haapajoki, who was a Brainerd Sertoma member and former international president. His slogan was "Sertoma Works" and that was adopted as the theme for this honor.
