LaVallee, Johnson place in Snowcross

Levi LaVallee of Longville finished fourth in the Pro Open final and sixth in the Pro Stock final and Amanda Johnson of Aitkin finished second in the Pro Women final at the Super Snowcross Stadium Tour at the Metrodome Saturday.

LaValle was racing a Polaris and Johnson was on a Ski Doo in the second round of the series. Blair Morgan, on a Ski Doo, won the Pro Stock and Pro Open finals. Julie Thul, on a Polaris, won the Pro Women final.

The next round is Feb. 8 at the Pontiac Silverdome in Detroit.

JV gymnasts defeat Sauk Centre

The Brainerd Warriors defeated Sauk Centre 128 to 68.9 in junior varsity gymnastics Tuesday.

Brainerd winners were Ari Lofrano with a 9.4 on floor exercise, Jenny Carson 8.2 on beam and 8.6 on vault and Tonya Redshaw 8.7 on bars.

Sophomore boys lose to Moorhead

Moorhead nipped the Brainerd Warriors 50-49 in sophomore boys' basketball Tuesday.

Leading scorers for Brainerd were Spencer Sundberg with 19 points and Ryan Forcier with 11.

Sophomore girls trample Apollo

The Brainerd Warriors defeated St. Cloud Apollo 61-41 in sophomore girls' basketball Tuesday.

Erin Karlsgodt had 15 points, Alison LeBlanc 10 and Lindsey Jourdan, Erika Austin and Sarah Gervais each had eight for Brainerd.
