Brainerd girls defeat Apollo

ST. CLOUD -- The Brainerd Warriors won their third straight game with a 46-37 Central Lakes Conference victory over St. Cloud Apollo Tuesday.

Maria Swanson led the Warriors with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Julie Austin and Megan Arns each chipped in with nine points as Brainerd improved to 11-7 overall.

"Maria is getting some rebounds, some offensive boards, and sticking them back in," Warriors coach Carl Hendrickson said.

"We're starting to get some scoring, pretty much from all our starters, which we weren't getting before."
