Some snow falls
A Minnesota Department of Transportation truck plowed and sanded Washington Street in Brainerd early this morning after the area received about an inch of snow. The snowfall was expected to decrease into flurries later today and Tuesday, with no significant accumulation, the National Weather Service in Duluth reported.

Correction / clarification
The Brainerd Dispatch incorrectly listed Baxter City Council action in Friday's editorial. The council upheld a Baxter Planning and Zoning Commission recommendatiaon to deny a proposed amendment the city's ordinance. The amendment would not have allowed open burning in the city (with certain exceptions).
